If you live in the US, November kick starts the holiday season with one of the most highly anticipated days of the year – Thanksgiving! It’s time to get the decorations down from the attic, prepare the turkey ready and start perfecting your pumpkin pie (make sure to use my homemade pumpkin puree!).
For the rest of us, November is a quieter month – usually one of early nights and preparations for the main event in December. Regardless if you celebrate or not this month, November is a time for more hearty meals. With temperatures dropping and the days getting colder, your body naturally craves heavier, nourishing foods like this One Pot Creamy Spinach & Mushroom Orzo.
But don’t forget to keep your digestive strength (agni) in mind! If you struggle with any signs of indigestion, you can still enjoy satisfying meals that are easy to digest like this simple Tomato Dahl or this creamy Carrot & Ginger Soup.
For a real treat this month, indulge in these Fudgy Flourless Brownies! These bite-sized brownies are so soft you won’t believe there is no flour in them. They are quite rich and gooey, so team them with a cup of fresh ginger tea can help lighten the load on digestion.
