This mango lassi takes just 5 minutes to make and is packed with nutrients, making it a perfect postpartum snack option. It’s soothing and anti-inflammatory qualities are just what you body needs during recovery too.
It’s also super hydrating (which is essential during the postpartum period!) with the addition of coconut water, so make sure to keep this recipe at hand for a quick and nourishing drink!

Ayurvedic Perspective on Mango Lassi
Make this mango lassi a part of your summer meal plan as it balances Pitta dosha. Traditional lassis are made with whole plain yoghurt – however, combining dairy and fruit is considered an ‘incompatible food combination’ in Ayurveda so I swapped it out for coconut yoghurt. This also makes the recipe vegan friendly and more cooling for the summer months! For a more traditional lassi, combine water, plain yoghurt, spices, and add a little honey to sweeten!

Tips for Making Mango Lassi
Fresh mango is recommended for this recipe but you can use frozen if needed. Make sure your mango is ripe as it may taste too sour instead of sweet!

Golden Glow Mango Lassi
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup coconut yoghurt
- 2/3 cup fresh mango
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cardamom
- 1 splash maple syrup (optional – to taste)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to blender and blitz until smooth
