Festive Maple and Pecan Porridge

Curl up on the couch with a warming bowl of Festive Maple & Pecan Porridge. This cosy recipe is perfect for frosty mornings when you need to warm yourself up from the inside out!

Ingredients
 

  • 1/2 cup porridge oats
  • 1 cup almond milk ((add more while cooking if desired))
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 small handful pecans
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ghee ((optional))

Instructions
 

  • Add the oats and almond milk to a small pot and cook until soft and creamy, adding more liquid if desired
  • Serve in a bowl and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, maple syrup and pecans
  • Optional extra - melt a tsp of ghee on top!

Notes

  • Depending on your preferred consistency, you may want to add a little more almond milk while cooking
  • Experiment with your favourite festive spices like nutmeg, cloves or star anise
  • Ghee is optional in this recipe, but highly recommended!
