Fig & Flax Oats

A nourishing breakfast for those colder, fall mornings.

Ingredients
 

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 figs

Instructions
 

  • Cook the oats in almond milk as normal
  • Add protein powder and stir to combine (add a little extra almond milk if needed)
  • Blend flax seeds and sprinkle on top with sliced figs

Notes

  • Technically in Ayurveda fruit should be eaten alone - fruits and grains are considered an 'incompatible food combination' meaning they don't digest well together
  • You can still enjoy this combo, but limit if you are experiencing ongoing indigestion
